Who we are

RxGuess is a free daily medication guessing game for pharmacists, pharmacy students, prescribers, and other healthcare learners, available at rxguess.com. This page explains what information is handled when you play.

Information we collect

We do not require an account. RxGuess does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or payment details, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Gameplay data stays on your device. Your puzzle history, win streak, statistics, and guesses are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are not transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data erases them permanently.

Leaderboard entries are optional. If you choose to post a score, we store only the nickname you type, the puzzle date, your number of guesses, your solve time, and a timestamp. Please do not use your real name or any personal or patient information as a nickname; nicknames are publicly visible to other players.

Basic traffic measurement. Our hosting provider records aggregate, non-identifying visit statistics such as page views, referring sites, approximate country, and device type.

Cookies and advertising

RxGuess itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. However, we display ads through Google AdSense, and third-party vendors, including Google, may set and read cookies on your device.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and other sites on the Internet.
  • These cookies are also used to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ad performance, and to detect invalid or fraudulent clicks.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. You can also read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are shown a consent notice before personalized advertising cookies are used, and may change or withdraw that choice at any time through the notice.

California and other privacy rights

We do not sell personal information for money. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you, or to opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request — including removing a leaderboard nickname — see the "Changes and contact" section below for how to reach us.

Data retention and security

Leaderboard entries are kept so historical boards remain viewable, and may be removed on request. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Medical disclaimer

RxGuess is an educational and entertainment game. Clues are written from publicly available drug labeling and general pharmacology references, may be simplified for gameplay, and may become outdated or contain errors.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, clinical decision support, or a substitute for professional judgment, current prescribing information, or a licensed clinician. Never use RxGuess to make decisions about patient care, dosing, or your own health. Always verify with the current FDA-approved product labeling and an authoritative clinical reference.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the game evolves; the date at the top will change when we do. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to the site operator. A direct contact address will be listed here when one is available.
